Okay, this may be a strange question, but I need to know if I'm just crazy or if anyone else feels this too.

For the past few weeks, it seems that when I get air hunger--especially when it's bad enough to trigger anxiety--it feels as though it's only, or mainly, on the left side.

It's just like the left lung or the left side of my diaphragm is either spasming or not working quite right.

At times I think it's something with my heart, although the cardiologisst says everything is fine and my LLMD can't hear anything odd going on. Sometimes I even start thinking I have a pulmonary embolism.

In some ways, though, it doesn't surprise me because many of my symptoms have been on the left side--the weakness, tingling, neck pain, jaw pain, all seem to be mainly left-sided.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I had similar symptoms. I thought it was my diaghragm too but I think it was my spleen.

I would get a bit of swelling under my left ribcage and it would feel like it was putting pressure on my lung and I couldn't get a deep breath.

I looked up an anatomy site and found that your spleen is right there. Since your spleen filters toxins it made sense to me that it would be that. Now it comes and goes depending on what I am taking.

Don't know if I am right. Had my regular doc check my spleen and he said it felt OK so I don't know for sure. Just my own idea.

It was very uncomfortable for while and I did realy worry about it. Then (like every other darn symptom)it would come and go.

If it is spleen you have to be careful not to be playing any full contact sports (certainly not a problem with me) so you don't rupture.

Hope this helps

Yeah, I thought about spleen too, but LLMD said it's fine.

No contact sports? Man there goes volleyball....
