Just got the results of my heavy metal profile test provoked by a large dose of DMSA which I am still paying a price for. My lead doubled from two years ago and my mercury increased even though I had my silver filling removed two years ago. I don't know where I would have gotten cesium from and I guess gadolinium is from MRI contrast. I have examined practically everything I eat and drink and am looking for possiible sources but this can make you crazy.

I just read that cesium can cause ventricular arrythmias which I get. Maybe everything isn't related to the disease but I guess I learned the hard way.

Very long thread - Allergie-Immun.

Everyone doing this therapy here, that had this test done does not (on a DNA level) recognize many of these metals as toxic.

A number of years ago I had the same challenge test that you refer to. I am not a fan of this knowing now that all the stuff that was pulled up, had nowhere to go. Not recognized.

Your are right - not everything is not related to lyme. There is a toxic terrain that needs to be cleaned up.

amkdiaries:

Check to see where your test was done. Was it Doctor's Data? The graph they use is for UNCHALLENGED or unprovoked urine.
After DMSA, you are going to see high levels that before DMSA would be normal.
You are probably fine ... I had 3 1/2 times the normal lead level, and my doctor said not to worry about it as mine was provoked with DMSA too.

Okay, so if the graph is designed to show the normal ranges of unprovoked urine, then why do doctors use DMSA at all?

Mine was provoked with 2,500mg of DMSA, so it really didn't surprise me when the levels were hugely excessive.

Given all the detox I do, my numbers went up higher from a year ago, and I've done all the right things, so honestly I don't know how much stock I put into the tests.

Additionally, there is no possible way I've taken in more heavy metals to such a degree that it would rise like that. I haven't left my apartment except for one day a month at most -- just to go to a doctor's appointment etc. My diet hasn't changed, my home is kept clean, I don't use chemicals often.

The only thing that could cause numbers to potentially rise is breathing the air outside. I open my window sometimes and live next to a very busy street.

The way I see it, I'll do an overall body detox, including heavy metals -- a gentle long term protocol, but I'm just not going to freak out or worry about the metals issue.

I think you have to pay attention to metals but the source is enough to make you insane. I had all my mercury fillings removed within the last three years with a knowlegeable dentist using oxygen, rubber dams and other precautions and my mercury is higher now than before. I also had metal crowns removed and replaced with porcelain and now found out they they contain aluminum.

Where all the lead is coming from is a mystery as I live in a five year old house built under code and know no exposure to common sources like paint but did find out that some B-12 sources come from China. Could that be a source of lead- I don't know but this is frustrating because if you don't know the source you can't stop the exposure.

Perhaps one is not taking in more metals but is finally capable of releasing already stored minerals ?

And they must hide well, like other things we talk about ?

That is a good point. Thank you.

Massman is right - I'm doing another hair test this week and it is my hope to see a LOT of metals there so I know they are coming out.

I also hope to see a good mineral base.
