Morning, does anyone have pain in the arm area in the area of the upper ribs on the left side?
It's not the heart area more like ribs with stabbing pain.
Any suggestions?

I don't know about your pain, but I have had pain in my ribs, mostly lower ribs, both front and back, for a long time. Usually it's worse when I wake up. My lyme doctor said that borellia seeks out cartilege and there's a lot of it there. So in his opinion this is a common symptom of lyme. I expect that eventually the antibiotics will get it, at least that's the plan!

I've heard a lot on hear about costochondritis. Sounds a little like what you have. I think a lot of people with lyme have problems with this--it's inflammation related.

Find a good chiropractor that uses an activator or other type of adjusting instrument. Have the chiro see if your ribs need adjusted.

I have these symptoms. Just started abx and hope this will be one of the things that will resolve. I've tried both the PT and the chiro route and didn't get much relief. For now, I do use trigger point therapy http://www.triggerpointbook.com/, Icyhot patches and heating pads.

I've been dealing with tons of left side pain both rib, kidney & other, high & low, front & back, stabbing, burning, etc.... for almost a year.
After being off of antibiotics for about a year,(I think they may have partially been the problem along with kidney stones and who knows what else) I was put on them again for a UTI 1 1/2 weeks ago. I definitely herxed from the ABX and have had lowered sensations since. I'm thinking it could partially be the strep infection that has been causing the pain....
The pain was actually pulling my spine out for many months so weekly chiro appointments were painful and needed.

Massman brought up a good point. If a rib is out of alignment it will cause continuous sharp pain until it is properly adjusted. I have had this happen several times. Thankfully, one of my best friends is a chiropractor so he can fix it easily and quickly.
I've also experienced a burning, pressure type of pain in my L chest/rib area before. Even stopped wearing underwire bras because that area was so painful. Not sure what causes this pain but it has gotten better as I've been treating Lyme and Co's.

Janice - using the instrument I suggested is not too painful at all. I have adjusted many hundreds of patients that way.
No heavy pressure, pushing or pulling. If you want I can try to help you find someone in your area.
