I've read that steroids are not a good idea with Lyme Treatment.
My issue is that i need to do one of the following, or i won't be able to breathe:
1.take advair twice daily 2.use my albuterol inhaler 3-4 times daily 3.take zyrtec and or singulair and use my inhaler 1-2 times daily.
Does anyone have any experience with these first hand?
I'm in my late 20's so i think my immune system is in pretty good shape. But i've got to do one of these. I have all of these meds around the house, so if anyone had success with them please let me know.

I use albuterol 3-4 times daily. It is not a steroid! My LLMD says its fine to use. You have to treat asthma!

When my asthma was at its worst...
I took: Zopenex and Albuterol (nebulized) Intal and Albuterol (inhalers) Omnaris (nasal spray) Singular (tablet)
I did a few other things too but can't remember them at the moment.
Bottom line is you have to take care of that asthma. You have to breath!
Once your other symptoms begin to calm down, the asthma will too. Have you been checked and treated for Babs?

If I had asthma, I would take the zyrtec, singulair, and advair (once or twice) daily to prevent flares.
Albuterol is a rescue inhaler, if you need to use it daily that means your asthma inflammation is not under control.

I had severe asthma for years. I took the albuterol inhaler. I got rid of my asthma completley when I started getting rid of Parasites and Worms. The worms migrate to the lungs and cause congestion.
Do a search on here by typing Lyme and parasites into the search bar. Also check the symptom list at
I take Advair, Xoponex, and Zyrtec.

My daughter takes her asthma meds. I never thought about the steroids in her inhaler. Will it make her pain worse??

I use to have bad respiratory problems and had to use inhalers and lot of med to breathe but don't use any meds now.
I have other problems with skin, memory and foot pain I'm battling but breathing is not an issue, thank God.

I've used my inhaler when I needed it and it hasn't bothered me...or my meds. Because come to find out AFTER I had used it there was an interaction with one of my meds that my doctor, PCP, didn't catch even though he prescribed both of them.
I treat it when I need to with the inhaler, but I don't have it nearly as bad as you seem to. I only need to use it one every couple of months or so, just keep it on hand because if I have an attack it is usually bad.

I specifically asked my LLMD about advair and proair HFA. He said to keep using them. They are steroids, but he doesn't think the amount is problematic. The one thing I would say is that a side-effect of advair can be thrush in the mouth, so make sure you rinse well after use.

give up all dairy. it is strongly related to asthma and allergies. it can only help!
