Can milk thistle be taken at the same time as antibiotics or does it have to be taken away from abx? Can it be taken at the same time as probiotics? I am having a hard time figuring out when to fit it in to my son's schedule. He's at school during the day.
Any other suggestions for liver support for a 5 year old... preferably something that can be taken at the same time as abx or probiotics? He cannot yet swallow pills.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Livergy from www.inno-vita.com comes in a liquid form. You could put some drops in his food.
Your doc can order it for you.

I'm sure you will hear different opinions on this.
My doctor says that Milk thistle can effect the efficacy of all antibiotics.
He didn't say how far apart to take them from abx but to be aware that they can effect the abx absorption.

My LLMD said it was fine to take with Biaxin and could be taken at the same time.
However, intersting note, my Allergist told me that anyone with a ragweed allergy should not take milk thistle or silybin because it comes from the ragweed family.
