Hi all: After months of treatment, many of my Lyme symptoms have resolved: no more weakness, pain, muscle pain & tingling. I am left with a racing heart, some light sweats, shakiness, and great anxiety. NO headaches or air hunger. What is this?

Search for symptoms of coinfections.

I have and find them confusing. I do not have headaches - and they are supposed to be a hallmark of Babs and Bart. I also do not have air hunger. I was just wondering if anyone recognized this canstellation of symptoms: could it be Babs and Bart??

Have you treated at all for co-infections? It sounds like maybe a little of both babs and bart. The racing heart, shakiness and light sweats sound like babs to me and the anxiety could be either babs or bart.
It is really important to treat co-infections even if you are not testing postiive for them as they can hold people back from becoming completely well.
I am not a doctor so please don't take this as medical advice but it's definitely something to talk with your LLMD about.

I am beginning treatment for babesia: artemisia and malarone. I will ask about the bart. Thanks

I never had headaches and had both babs and bart!
Also, have you been tested for KPU? How about hypoglycemia? Both can cause those symptoms.

I have just done the KPU test. I do have a degree of hypoglycemia that has really gotten worse since I got sick with Lyme: the symptoms tend to occur in the morning most severely: then get better as the day goes on. I am seeing my LLMD next week and I am sure he will have ideas...

I was recently told that some of my left over symptoms are a mental disorder/mood disorder possibly caused by LD. I am trying to process this so I can have a decent discussion at my next appt in 3 weeks.
Many of my lyme symptoms have improved, but still have anxiety, choking, mood swings, fatigue, etc. I don't have Babs and most of the bart like symptoms are starting to improve.
So I am looking into the possibility of the brain being effected by LD. Still treating for lyme and considering treating for mood disorder.
Doc said it needs to be treated in order to determine what is lyme and what is actually psych symptoms brought on by Lyme. I'm still trying to process this information.
Not trying to high jack your thread, just letting you know what I have recently been told.

Suthern I was talking to a friend whose husband had bad Lyme - supposedly cured - but still had massive depression. My 'spells' have a kind of panic attack quality, and I have been taking more Elavil - but it doesn't seem to respond. It will be interesting to see what happens once I start the Babs treatment.

Check the symptom list at Humaworm. Sounds like a lot of the symptoms listed for parasites and worms especially the panic and anxiety,

Always treat for parasites, as Gael says! But, I think it sounds more like babesia. Same crap I'm left to clean up.
