PLEASE give me your opinions, the Dr. yesterday said she wasn't sure if this was EM, because it didn't like the classic rash...your opinions please.

looks like a bullseye. Lyme doesn't need to be a bullseye but that one sure looks like one.
find a new doctor or a llmd

Peep,
You have three post that are the same.
This is the only one that has a picture of the
bruise. Where the pencil and paper is at the top of your post you need to delete the ones without the picture. only you can delete them.
As far as your bullseye, I never seen one that looks like a bruise. Do you have an llmd? Lyme is not something to put off. The earlier you seek help the better chances you have.

I saw your other post about opting not to take antibiotics.
Listen to everyone and take it, and please get an llmd.

The other post has too many responses (25) for it to be deleted. There's just too much help in that post. I think she did the right thing starting a new post when she got the picture.
If there ever are duplicate posts, please hit "report post" and I can delete the duplicate. That happens sometimes.

I would take the meds and make an appt with a doctor who knows how to treat Lyme. If a tick bite looks like that, there's a problem!!

MDW005---Thanks, I could not figure out how to delete, first time ever on forum like this.
Since signing onto this site and getting more information, I have decided to get the antibiotics. I talked with a woman who runs a support group here and she gave me the name of a LLMD. If my doctor would have laid it out differently, I would not have opted out. However, she said that even if I waited until the test the treatment would be the same...that is in 8 weeks. She was not at all certain that my bruise/bullseye mark was typical enough to cause concern. Thanks to learning more I have changed my mind, I want the meds ASAP. My question is to get the meds from the woman I saw yesterday or take the time to get into a LLMD? My head has been spinning a bit. Thanks.

Take the meds you got from this doctor to hold you over until you get to the LLMD. The sooner you start the meds, the better. If the LLMD wants you on different meds, he can change them. Plus, it may take that long to get in with an LLMD!

Peep,
It would be wise I think to go ahead and get started on the antibiotcs. Two months is a long wait to get started. Take advantage of the meds while she is offering.

Absolutely!!!!
It looks like a bullseye to me ..it has that defined white area in the shape of a circle. That would be enough for ME to get treatment!
Waiting 8 wks could have been disastrous for you. Sad to say... most drs are ill-informed as yours was.
I have seen pics of many bullseyes that were like a bruise. There should have been one in Treepatrol's links that I posted for you.
