I just want to know if my neck pain is related to lyme. Mine almost feels like I strained something, it's been over a week now nonstop, I can't do a mri because I am pregnant, but for those of you with neck pain, what does yours feel like. Last night I couldn't put my neck in any comfortable position because it hurt so bad, almost feels like a bulging disc, it's so bad that it's giving me headaches as well.

My neck pain feels like a strain. But it's funny, I can still move my head in any direction.
I remember when I HAD strained my neck, in years past, sleeping wrong or whatever. There was always a point I couldn't move my head past as there was too much pain. I'd hold my head funny and people would know my neck hurt.
With lyme, the neck pain is there but there is no movement limitation.

I have neck pain too, with lots of cruchies in the back. Very creepy, if you know what I mean.
Sometimes, it gets better on its own with no apparent reason.
Cranial sacral therapy could help, esp if you are pregnant.

my neck pain has gone after 3 months of doxy but was bad before that, i get the crunching and clicking. Mine does it when i walk. every time i place my right leg down i get a single tick sound in my neck. very strange.

Mine is a burning pain I get it in my neck as well as other parts of my spine. I have had Mri's of my entire spine, nothing major some bulging disks but nothing to cause the amount of pain I am in. I am also pregnant. I am due in 3.5 weeks, I am very uncomfortable at this point. I hope you find some relief.

Neck pain is pretty typical with Lyme, I think because the cranial nerves are affected early on, along with inflammation of the spinal cord meninges.
I get mine relieved temporarily by chiropractic care.
