New symptom today. Hands are VERY sensitive to running water doing the dishes. Feels freeZing when it's really not. Been taking doxy 100mg 2x/day for 12 days.

Sometimes hands and feet feel like they are very hot also, burning feeling. Was in a little sun today too.

Am I getting worse or detoxing? HELP....

Sounds like inflammation and/or neuropathy. I suggest adding more detox.

Should I do an epsom bath, warm? Lemon water?

Just took a milk thistle.

Any other suggestions?

My 1st LLMD appt is Monday. Can't wait. this is very depressing. I have an 8 & 11 year old and all I want to do is sleep and cry....not good for weekend entertainment.

okay, I'm now thinking it is doxy burn, but will do some detoxing now also.

It sounds to me like you got a doxy burn on your hands. The feeling you are describing is it.

Now, you have to wear gloves when outside any length of time and definitely while driving. You don't want it to get any worse. If it does, you can be in agony. And, no pain medication will help.

ahhh, good thought TF! I've been on doxy off and on for years and I've never had that problem but I've read of others having it. Perhaps something like aloe vera would help with the pain if it's a sunburn?

doxy does that to me, even though I cannot see a red "burn".

The same thing happened to me after being on doxy for 1 month. I was out in the sun for a couple hours with sunscreen, and the next couple of days my hands were very sensitive to hot and cold, the tip of my nose also.

When a slight cool breeze hits my skin it feels as if it's an icy gust, if it's warm water it feels as if it's extremely hot water, etc. I too was concerned until I learned it was due to the doxy. Now I avoid the sun altogether.

Good luck to you!

Just posted a question about these exact symptoms. Sorry I didn't see this first. Sounds like instead of fun in the sun it's going to have to be made in the shade this summer!
