I asked this on another thread to but seems appropriate to ask here.

I have seen on 3 different websites that you should NOT do coffee enemas if you are sensitive to caffeine. Is this true?

I am extremely sensitive to caffeine. It gives me bad heart flutters and the jitters. My doc recommended coffee enemas but after what I read I think it probably would be a bad idea for me.

Thanks,
Pam :-)

Thanks for the links WC. I can add these to my Lyme folder.

I tried doing this and it was pretty hysterical. I'm not very good at do it yourself type stuff. I went out and bought enemas. I'm determined to try it again.

Pam - I have heard many people ask that question and it does not absorb into your system as if you were to drink it. I'm sure there is a post on it somewhere.

If you are sensitive and your doctor recommended it anyway, I would start with a weak coffee to see what happens instead of starting with full strength.

Ahhhhh........the US.

We love coffee sooo much (Dunkin Donuts here) we gotta put it in both ends at the same time [confused]

I'm sensitive to caffiene and I never had a problem in that way.

A tip
It's great to do a cleaning round with distilled water and a dropperful of chlorophyll. It makes it easier to retain the coffee afterwards with the colon cleared.

Haley same thing happened to me. First time was ridiculous and I thought no way...but I tried two more times until I got the hang of it. It's been one of the most effective and inexpensive ways to detox for myself.

My LLMD gave me a nice little article on how to properly do these. Here are the links for whoever wants to print them.

Another tip:
Put a capful of electrolytes in the enema bag, and use coconut oil on the tip as a lubricant.

Also, if you all don't mind I've composed a little song about coffee enemas. Here it goes:

(Sung to the tune of the Folger's jingle)

"The best part of waking up...
Is Folger's in your butt!"

Maybe you could sell that to Folgers and "open up" a new market for them.
[woohoo]

WC, that second video cracks me up. I found it a long time ago.

IVY, didn't get that from Dr. J, but from an LLMD on the Eastern Shore.

Honestly, when I do them, I just use organic coffee in my coffee maker and add some ice when it's brewed to get the temp to around 101 degrees and in the water bottle it goes.

I skip alot of steps in the directions, but I take lots of probiotics, so I think I'm covered although I would think many would argue otherwise. :-)
