Results of echo indicate that "aortic sclerosis (calcification) is present, with otherwise normal excursion of the leaflets"..."no evidence of mitral valve regurgitation".
Any one else have this issue and could it be caused by babesia or bartonella? I read some article online that perhaps bartonella can contribute to this issue,... anyone know anything about this?
Also if anyone in the NJ/NY area can recommend an LLcardiologist please send me a pm.
Thank you!

You might find some useful articles searching arterial vasculitis with borrelia and-----.

Hope you find a good one to keep the inflammation down in treatment.
I had many heart symptoms I could have used support for.
Electrolytes got me thru, but I believe a lot more could be done.

I had the same dx yrs ago. I was also dx with mitral valve prolapse. Don't know what a new test would show after yrs of treatment. I would be curious. My heart symptoms, chest pain, tachycardia have resolved with tx.

In my case it is from the Fry bug. I think it is not harmless, could be PAD and deep vein thrombosis.Just had a heart check done.
The vasculitis is treated wit abx. Vasculitis can be chlamydia pneumonia and it lives in the biofilm as well.Read cpnhelp.org for treatment options.

Thank you all for your responses.
Pinelady: How did electrolytes help you?
Gael: whatcoinfection did your llmd relate the heart issues to bart/babesia or?? I'm glad to hear your symptoms have resolved...but if your were told that you had aortic sclerosis or calcification I'm not sure that can be resolved without valve surgery or can lyme treatment possibly do so?
Karen: I have the Fry bug...lab result in 2008 was"suggestive of hemobartonella or mycoplasma" which I understand is now called the "mystery bug".
Do you have sclerosis or vasculitis or are they the same?
Karen, it's interesting that you should bring up cpn as I have tested positive for this. What kind of treatment have you done for these issues?

how did you know something was wrong...what were your symptoms?????
Posted by JJ29 (Member # 5288) on :
Florence, I didn't have any heart symptoms per se. I had an echo because I received a positive lab for Q fever and needed to rule out endocarditis which this illness usually causes.

Talked to a good friend with lyme who is a very very sharp nurse.
She said yes to your original question.
Posted by JJ29 (Member # 5288) on :
Thanks, massman. I'm guessing she means yes that it can be caused by bart?
Posted by massman (Member # 18116) on :
Yes
Posted by JJ29 (Member # 5288) on :
Thank you, massman. Is there a possibility that this issue can be reversed with treatment for bart?

Wasn't seeing an LLMD at the time, so I don't know which infection caused it. I just know I am asymptomatic..except for a few heart flutters now and then which can be attributed to the MVP.

cowden uses Serrapeptase to break up the plaques in cardio vascular disease - he has videos on Utube explaining it. The link was posted here recently. Not sure if this applies to your condition?

Thanks, Babsbabe, I will discuss this with my LLMD.
