have this weird feeling of tingling and numbness under chin and around throat area that comes and goes. But now seems to be with me all day. has anyone expierenced anything like this? having thyroid checked via blood and sonogram, but just a strange feeling that's freaking me out. Had sonogram of thyroid today and the tech didn't want to play nice. I asked if she saw anything and she said she's not allowed to discuss...ohh just lovely!

Jenn, I had this for many months off and on, then it was constantly just like you. My LLMD had them do an ultrasound on my soft neck tissue and thyroid and they found a nodule on my thyroid that was 1.2 cm (less than an inch), it was biopsied and was benign. Hormones were all ok, cortisol was a little low.
Looking back, I'm not sure this nodule was causing the symptoms, rather, I had a feeling it was more like toxins hanging around in my lymph nodes from die-off etc.. and my adrenals being taxed. Funny thing was...I got the flu with a pretty high fever (102) and I haven't had that neck/ throat symptom since. Maybe the high fever wiped it out, who knows! Just wanted to commiserate with you :0) and let you know that I had this too! Chances are it's the Lyme (which can cause thyroid/hormone issues too) Best, MurphyNC

thanks MurphyNC I've had some weird symptoms lately and that is one of them. I think my thyroid is taking a beating though. Thanks for your response, and glad to hear I'm not alone! Sometimes Lyme just makes you feel isolated and bombarded with strange symptoms that No one understands except for other Lymies! thanks for sharing!!
