Started mepron and 4 days later Awful depression, awful thoughts. Too horrible had to stop. After a day or so mood lifted to the normal bad depression. Did a little artemisin in the meantime. Then after 4 days tried the Mepron again at half the original dose. Today feel lousy again. If someone knows----will this let up? If someone said it'll be a week and then things will get better it might be tolerable. I hate knowing babesia is there and want it gone but the depression is HUGE. Would lithium ortate help?would anything offset this? Desperate for a way to make this work without losing it all

Hi, I'm on mepron for the babs. It didn't hit me until about week three and a terrible herx came on.
This stuff is brutal. If you feel depressed, call the doctor and ask for help. I have read here that many people on mepron develop depression and have to stop it.
Call your doctor for assistance. I would especialyl with the depression.
