I have never seen nor heard of a lyme elisa of 6.80 (to be + you haveto be above 0.89), my igm is negative, my igg has 5 bands-66, 58, 41, 39, 18kda.

in 1999 I had lyme elisa 2.08, w/b 2igm-23kd and 41, 7igg dont rem which ones, treated orally 6 weeks, w/b-1 igmc(23) 7 igg. saw LLMDs treated orally on and off- til they stopped treating me due to antibiotic alleriges.

in 2002 I tested + in CSF titer ratio whatever, regular ID dr treated me 6 week iv penicillin, with 1igm on w/b (23)and 7igg for my b/w.

I then had 1 igm (23), and 5 igg a short time later, and pulled out of it. I was told csf negative.

in 2005 I had a nervous psychotic breakdown, did not get lyme checked.

I am not feelign well, got very sick 1st week april, horrid flu no vomiting beyond severe diarrhea very bad heart palpitations and pains. have not been right since whatsoever beyond tired, aches and nerve pains forgetful, chest jabs and pains =short lasting thankfully, random elecric weird zapss in my head, forgot even my address, neck very stiff. went to gastro he did tons of b/w I requested a lyme test as this is de ja vous to me from 1999. I am geetting worse and very sore and very tired.

my elisa is 6.80, igm negative, igg is 5 bands positive. going to ID dr next week.
who has heard of such a high elisa? I have read of cross reacting antibodies and am wondering what is going on w me. any help or abtracts etc appreciated. thanks.

Wow that is a high Elisa. I wonder if you were recently infected again. You said that you got very ill in April.

That's my guess.

Skip the ID doctor and go straight to an LLMD... A Lyme Literate MD. An ID dr is not likely to get you well.

You are too focused on the test... just find someone who can get you well. You obviously have Lyme.

Go to Seeking a Doctor to find someone near you.

Welcome!! [hi]

hi too too its me rosespetal from YEARS AGO. Hi to the other person who posted i forgot ur name an the screen switched lol sorry yes i have NEVER read of such a high elisa. makes me wonder cross reacting picking up autoimmune disease I DON'T know I have or something? I cannot see llmd. I had to be desensitized in icu to penicillin to be put on iv antibiotics. I have had anaphlaxis to 2 antibiotics, and severe welts rashes, and 'asthma like' breathing w them. I am also allergic to alleve, ibuprophin, and asprin. let alone foods. cant do llmd route. they will not treat me. and they dont accept insurance, which i cannot swing in the least. need to be an ID that accepts insurance. Hi - ID doctors usually do not treat chronic Lyme. Can you ask in the Seeking a Doctor section for any recommendations for LLMDs that accept insurance in your area? If you can't handle abx, then maybe to look at some of the alternative ways to treat?

By the way, I'm allergic to most abx too, but I can take clindamycin - it really helps my Lyme symptoms. We're all different when it comes to what helps.
