I did search older topics and found folks saying it made them tired, but wondering if it is just side effect of the med OR sign it is killing something?
Would make me feel better knowing this soul-sucking fatigue is worth it in the end...especially if I end up losing my job because I can't stay awake!
Thanks in advance.
I will be back later to check in assuming I do not pass out on my laptop.

Up hoping for some comments.
If fatigue is common when taking Tindamax, is it just a side effect of the drug, or sign that it is killing stuff?
Thanks all.

I would say you're herxing, so yes to die off. I don't recall being extra fatigued with it, but I DO remember bigtime depression. That could be causing your fatigue.
Hang in there, man!! Posted by mmcmann (Member # 21872) on :

I don't know. I read on Wikipedia that some people experience fatigue as a side effect. So I wouldn't rule out side effect.
I think some of my antibiotics do make me tired as a side effect. Doxycycline seems to do that to me.
I just started Tindamax a few weeks ago, and I don't think it's making me more tired. I actually think I seem to be doing better on it, which I have heard from other patients too.
That doesn't mean it's not a herx.....I just don't know what it is. Sorry.

I just started Tinidazole (generic form).
My LLMD said to call him in 2 weeks with a report of how I am feeling.
He said that if my pain or fatigue becomes severe, I should stop the med and call him sooner because these symptoms could become lasting.
I do not have any literature about this, but that is what he told me.
