i know how you feel. i'm exhausted during the day and hope that i'll sleep well. i nap during the night and wake up feeling like a truck ran over me.
it's the same ole thing every day -- hoping i can get some good sleep, but i never do.

I hear you and empathize completely. Going through such fatigue is awful.
After managing my insomnia for years with herbs, melatonin, exercise, diet, meditation, prayer and anything else that had promise. Now with lyme & babs, I'm on a sleep med and anti anxiety med. Not great, often groggy but am getting decent (not great) sleep.

I'd say that I'm afraid to sleep most nights. I have this incredible fear of a heart attack in my sleep. It's 11:30; I'm exhausted... and yet I'm still awake.

Putnam, keep pushing through it. It' the only way. Back off when your body needs a rest, but if you don't keep going, you won't beat it.
Look at my post on what IV Flagyl is doing to me after just 3 doses.
Medicate as needed to get through the symptoms, talk to your Dr. and proceed as directed.
There was a time when I would start/stop. Ask anyone here as they all got on my about this. I decided to push through the bad times, and I'm finally making progress with setbacks all of the time. Even so I keep going. Know your not alone. If your Dr. agrees, stop the train and get off and walk around. The train will wait for you to get back on and continue on your journey to get well.
Many have done it here and you will too.....
Keeping the faith ...

I take 2.5 mg. of ambien every single night. It's a really small dose, but enough to allow me to sleep. If I dont' take it I'm much worse off.
As for being afraid to go to sleep...I think my relationship with God has conquered that. I know where I'm going when I die and if I'm going to die I guess going in my sleep is about as painless as it gets! (is that morbid??)
