i've just completed 28-days of iv ceftriaxone & low & behold i've got a horrible case of what appears to be poison ivy or sumac (which i may have got from my backyard) but i'm wondering if anyone has ever had such a thing as a lyme or antibiotic reaction ? i'd believ anything about this disease at this pint !

Why were you on the iv meds?
Did you talk to your doc about whether it could be the abx? My doc told me to call immediately if I got any sort of rash b/c that could be a sign of reaction to the abx.
I believe that my only case of "poison ivy" ever was actually a tick bite. I grew up running around the woods and worked in the field. Never had poison ivy before or since. Looking at pictures of lyme rashes, I realized they may not be bulls-eyes, they can also be itchy and ooze.

Do you mean a rash? I've never had Poison Ivy, but I did get a horrible rash the last couple weeks with raised bumps, some fluid, itched like hell. I still have some residual, but it's mostly gone. I'm assuming Lyme symptom since I haven't been around anything to get poison ivy/sumac.
