Just wondering, what tests are performed for coinfections, and how reliable are they?

You should read Dr. B's Advanced Topics in Lyme Disease. The tests are not very reliable.

If I remember Babesia is associated with Lyme in appx. 65% of the cases, blood test for only 2 of 13 known strands with a potential of 24 strands.

My daughter was clinically diagnosed with Babs and the blood work was negative.

I think Bartolona or BTO is more common than Babs and again the blood testing is not very accurate.

Dr. B spells it all out. Good luck.

Try Igenex.. but no lab is 100% accurate on any of this TBD testing.
