Hi All,

My wife is suffering really badly from blood vessel spasms in her legs and arms. Her legs are in a lot of non-stop pain, and bruising occurs after the event. Anti-inflammatories and narcotics don't touch the pain. Don't know what starts or stops it. Think it's auto-immune. Magnesium? GABA? Klonapin?
Has anyone had this and what did you do to slow down or get rid of the symptoms?

Thanks,
Bubba

Has she been tested for DVT (deep vein thrombosis)?

Low magnesium will cause spasms.

I use Mag Calm powder in hot water, and Source Naturals Ultra-Mag.

Foods high in magnesium include almonds, almond butter, pumpkin seeds, and beans...bean burritoes, baked beans, refried beans, bean soup, rice and beans.

Thanks, she has been tested several times. She has taken very high doses of mag for years. Her favorite food is pumpkin seeds. We are thinking this is more like a nerve issue!

High doses of magnesium salicylate can cause bruising. Pumpkin seeds are also high in magnesium. She may be getting too much.

There also needs to be a balance in calcium]magnesium and her calcium may be low. Has she been tested. Did her doctor prescribe the mag or is this self prescribed?

If it were me, I would cut back on the magnesium and see if these symptoms subside.

Electrolyte replacement should help.

I tried the ones for vomiting and diarrhea that helped me.
