Please let me know if co-infections can be tested at any lab, or is it best to go to one of the known good labs for testing?
thanks a lot
best,
Ann

I would test with IGeneX.

Other (cheaper) labs might be covered by insurance where IGeneX is not.

However, other labs' ability to actually find lyme is woeful. I imagine their success at finding an actual co-infection is nonexistent.

Here is a brief article on just HOW woeful it is. The truth is probably harsher.

Use a good lab that specializes in tickborne disease. I really know of no equal to IGeneX.

I think there is no harm in at least trying labs that are covered by insurance first. You can get every co-infection test done by Igenex through a regular lab (except maybe duncani).

If you get a positive, it's one less test you need to do through Igenex.

If seeing an LLMD, it's probably somewhat moot anyway, if he/she diagnoses by symptoms.
