I know this is probably a question that has been posted a million times before and is innane but I'm going to ask it any way.
I've been feeling preety much like crud lately but I don't know if it's just normal fibro/lyme/arthritis/whatever kicking my but or if the treatment is working and causing me to feel like this.
How on earth do you tell?

It's hard to know. You will feel worse with treatment fo ra long while before you start to notice improvement. What was helpful for me was to make a list of all my symptoms then cross them off as they disappeared.
It took 2 years and many combos before the list was down to 10. But that way, I could see progress even though I still felt like crap. Hang in there!

For me it's really impossible to tell day to day. It requires time to appreciate the improvements.
For that reason, you may want to track or log some of your symptoms and their associated severity. That makes it easier to look back and see progress.
I've been treating for around 20 months, and I notice that every several months I can distinguish improvement. But the first real lasting improvement took about 9 months, and I can still fluctuate a lot.
I still need to keep my situation in perspective and look at the "big picture." If I get caught up in a moment when not feeling well, it can really distort the picture.

I actually have a calendar that I write how I feel on it every day no matter what the symptom may be. so far I don't see much of a pattern but then I've only been treating 2 months.
I just know my dr. is going to ask me if I think this med is working when I see him next week (this is my 2nd one).
The only thing I know to tell him is I feel worse on this one than I did on the last one for whatever reason.
