while waiting to see LLMD on the 19th. My ID doc suggested I stop the doxy after a 26 day dose because I was so sick. Had to take an ambulance ride and get IV treatment over the weekend because I could not get out of bed.(too weak to stand) I got labs back from california saying no coinfections and blood work is showing no bacteria in the blood. She now wants to test my urine for bacteria. Wondering if this sounds familiar to anyone? (very shaky and nauseous also)

Don't understand...did you get copy of the test? or Did the doctor just tell ya the results?

Was it an Igenex Western Blot? A western Blot show "bands" Explanation is
here.

The urine test is probably a PCR test - looking for a sliver of the lyme DNA - not too accurate

Keep that LLMD appt!!! Many of the sickest will not

show any bands on testing unless challenged. If you

were on antibiotics they can skew the tests.

Always get copies of all tests.

My MD tried to tell me mine was neg. when it plainly said POS.

It was CDC neg. because of their lies.

But I do have Neuroborreliosis.

No bacteria in the blood? Is that what they tested for? Or did you misunderstand?

Lyme is tested by a blood test for antibodies to the bacteria. As mentioned above, some don't have the antibodies and if you were bitten recently you might not be showing them yet.

Lyme is a clinical diagnosis that can be supported by testing but not based on testing.

Please see an LLMD.
