I am supposed to start my initial abx treatment for newly diagnosed lyme.
Problem is I have smoked for the last six weeks, and do not feel very healthy.
I have also eaten poorly for awhile. My gut is clearly not well, and is much better when smoking goes away.
My intuition is that I need to take a couple of weeks of helthy living before going onto abx.
Also it seems initial therapy can be quite crucial, so I want to create the best situation I can poosible.
Is boosting the immune system a good idea while on abx?
If so I guess NAC, colostrum, vitamin c top the list?

You will feel much better when you quit smoking!I quit smoking in February. I recommend a book called "The Easy Way to Quit" by Alan Carr.
I was the most hard-core (closet) smoker. I tried quitting hundreds of times by every method. It's been five months since I quit smoking and I don't miss it (I used to think life wouldn't be worth living if I couldn't smoke). You will feel so much better when you quit smoking. Maybe not immediately but eventually.
As far as diet and supplements there is a ton of information on this site and elsewhere. It is so important to eat healthy food. Good luck!
