I developed an eye problem about three weeks ago that was tentatively diagnosed an optic neuopathy- there are little areas in my eye that are kind of blurry- not the whole thing and my periferal vision is somewhat affected. Also bothered by glare in this eye. I tested postive for Lyme with test the eye doc did but he seems to be ignoring this option- regular PCP put me on 2 weeks of doxycyclin. A bit of tingling in hands. No other symptoms. Had Lyme just a year ago that presented as Hepatitis- that got all better after two weeks of doxycyclin. Anyone have this particular eye issue?

I have this and my right eye is still at least 50% affected after 6 months. If both eyes were like this I could not drive.
The optical neurologist said it's common in Lyme and MS, but the Lymies don't want to take steroids.
The Optic Neurologist said that steroids are given within the first week to reduce the length but not the severity of the disease. After the first week they are useless.
My GP and a regular optometrist were clueless despite knowing my history.
The disease can last from weeks to months and the more times you get it, the less you will recover.
Mine is exacerbated by eating hot foods, believe it or not.

Sorry to say but this Katya person has only 12 posts and they are all about the miracle of ASD. Many identical cut and paste posts. Other threads call her a spammer. Pass.
