I am on day 6 of Doxycycline treatment. I do not feel exhausted 24/7 anymore. Thursday and Friday, I did not need my daily lunch break nap in my car to get through the rest of the work day. My concentration has greatly improved. I can't remember the last time I was not tired.
Not much change in the way of joint pain and neuro symptoms, but I realize those things usually take longer. I have not experienced any herxing, knock on wood. It took me a few days to get used to the medicine. I threw up the morning dose the first few days until I decided to take it 2 hours after breakfast instead of 1 hour before.
Overall, not a bad first week on treatment. Hopefully, week two will be just as good as the first.

- Why aren't you taking doxy with a bit of food? That's best, really. Just don't lie down for an hour after taking it. And don't take it with calcium or magnesium supplements or dairy products.
You should still take your nap/rest breaks. VERY important to healing. -

Congratulations!!! I am very, very happy for you.
It is a thrill when that horrendous fatigue goes away, even for just a little while.
I think you are on your way !!!!

that is wonderful!
doxyclycine gave me opposite results, it helped with my joint pain, but did not help with ym exhaustion AT ALL.

Oh, I spoke too soon.
I am feeling like a train wreck this week. Not so much fatigue, but pain. Pain everywhere. My heart pounds with the slightest activity. My head hurts. My vision is blurry.

LA, I read your first post and was hesitant to tell you to watch out as the Herx can sneak up on you, but I didn't want to discourage you or even be wrong and hoping you wouldn't get it.
The Herx appears to be unavoidable for most of us. Keep going if you can, but don't overkill. Your Herx's don't have to debilitate you if you and your Dr. dose accordingly. I can tell you this first hand as I have pushed the envelope way too far many a time.
