first with Amoxicillin and then with Ceftin.

Do you think I should switch to something else?

I don't want to grow resistant to the Zith.

I took azithro for 10 months started 250mgs then added 500mgs with mepron. With NO problems! I did very well on this combo...I started to plateau then went back to doxy, hopefully that'll wrap it up for me! feeling great! knock on wood!!

What were the doses? Usually it is combined with Mepron and Artemesia for babesia, or Ceftin and Flagyl for Lyme.

I am on Zith, Ceftin and pulsing flagyl.

For Lyme. I don't have symptoms of Babesia.

I don't have the bottle with me but I think I am on 500 mg a day

Omnicef/biaxin with flagyl would probably be more effective. Omnicef/ketek with flagyl even better if your dr will prescribe it.

You really should read Dr Burrascano's guidelines:

Ok 500 mg of Zithromax, what about the Ceftin? Are you on nothing else but those 2 meds?

I am also pulsing flagyl 750 mg a day for 3 days every 2 weeks.

The combination of Zithromax and Flagyl is a good one but the doses do seem low on both of them. Is the Zithromax oral or IV? If it is oral that is low because a lot gets lost in the absorption. I did 1,200 Zithromax with 3,000 mg Ceftin per day plus the FLagyl was 750 mg 4x per day on pulse 2 weeks on 2 off.

Zith is oral. I think I am on 1,000 mg Ceftin per day. Could it have to do with body weight? I am only 120 lbs.
Also, I am very functional so maybe I don't need the super high doses?

I have my llmd appt this a week from today. I will discuss

Thanks for the replies

Zith and Ceftin is a good combination! Doseage definitely depends on body weight and how long you've had an active infection. I don't believe a blanket dose requirement applies to everyone. Major organs can be affected and even damaged from too high of doses.

That could be part of the reason yes. My doses (above listed) were for me, female, 142 pounds) so not really sure why in your case.
I would increase the FLagyl too at some point, good to see you are on a good combination though.
