Is anyone else REALLY dizzy all the time? Like you feel like you will fall over because you are so off balanced? The only thing that helps is when I take an ativan (benzodiazide).

Anyone else have this as a main symptom?

Balance and ear symptoms are very common with lyme - but also with certain medications (mostly zithromax, minocycyline and biaxin). Ginger capsules and liver support may help but be sure to let your LLMD know of your reaction. If it does not settle down soon, a different med may be best.

The inner ear / middle ear / balance system is called the vestibular system. You can see a list here of all the things our inner ear controls - and why, when it's off kilter, so are we. The second link is for what can help.

Yes. I am hoping it is due to my recently diagnosed Babesia and will improve with treatment.

I have heard of others who have this symptom and Babesia by doing a search here. Doesn't make you physically feel better, but it is "good" to know others have the same thing, unfortunately.

Jackie, My daughter had this as her only symptom- went from constant dizziness, to head tingling to feeling like something was pounding in her head. With positive Lyme test, Neurologist knew right off the bat it was Lyme. Good luck.
