Hi just got off my IV Rocephin. My LLMD wants me to do Omnicef 300 mg twice a day. I have stomach sensitivities and am worried about taking Omnicef. I started Ceftin 500 mg (twice a day) because I was nervous about my stomach. He said it wasn't as effective in crossing the blood brain barrier. Do they BOTH cross the blood brain barrier? Anyone go on this after their Rocephin? I'm worried about relapsing....any other orals that you went on to kill the active spirochete form? (On Minocycline and Tindamax for L form and Cyst...will go on biofilm soon. Please help!

My daughter's LLMD said Omnicef was better at crossing the blood brain barrier than Ceftin.
My LlMD didn't say why, but she said she prefers a "newer, better" one than Ceftin and gave me Omnicef.
Both of us take Omnicef without stomach trouble.
How did the Rocephin work for you?

I've been on Omnicef before and did well, but that was for a sinus infection. Before I was diagnosed with LD.
Curious, do you know what infections your LLMD is attempting to target with Omnicef?

My LLMD was using it along with Ketek and Tindamax to target all 3 forms of Lyme.
