I've been feeling good for over a year now, post antibiotics....except for the ongoing hand numbness that never goes away.
Last Saturday I started feeling woozy, disconnected, off balance, vertigo-like, nauseous.
When I first wake up and raise my head, I see double.....it subsides after 15 minutes or so.
When I'm standing, and bend to one side, I loose my balance, almost fall over.
When I'm walking straight and make a quick turn to the right or left it feels like my body wants to continue walking straight.
Is this something going on in my brain, or is it an inner ear thing?
I have an appt w/ my LLMD this morning.....probably back on antibiotics Posted by nefferdun (Member # 20157) on :
Mine is caused from inner ear damage. I is affected by changing the elevation of my head. It comes on when I am sick but most of the time I am ok. It can also be virus related.
If you go to an EENT doctor they put ice water in your inner ear and if you don't get dizzy from it, then there is inner ear damage.

My primary symptom pre diagnosis was dizziness with "fishbowl" vision, ringing / full ears.
Thankfully the dizziness is gone now after 3 months treatment.

Were you treated for Babesia?

- Glad you were to see your LLMD this morning. In addition to addressing infection(s), GINGER capsules can relieve vertigo from any number of causes.
