I use E-lyte brand - I get it right at my Lyme Dr's office. He's pretty fussy about the quality of his supplements.

i read that Now Foods is one of the safer brands and practices good manufacturing practices, verified by NSF (and maybe USP? can't remember)

apparently, not many supp mfrs practice Good Mfr Processes, even though they claim they do

I've heard that biopure is the least contaminated with heavy metals. Chlorella naturally absorbs heavy metals before it is harvested. There is a safe level of mercury per serving that manufacturers are allowed. That becomes a problem because many of us take higher doses than what is usually taken.

Someone posted here awhile back that by the time they took the amount they were supposed to take, they would have been ingesting an unsafe level of heavy metals. This was with the Swanson brand of Chlorella.

Best to get a brand that doesn't just go with the amounts of heavy metals that are allowed but with the lowest possible amount that they can find. I've read that BioPure brand does that.
