I can't remember if you are on meds for the OCD?
I would never have been able to survive herxing without Prozac. Herxing made my OCD much worse.
Good luck hon...I know it's hard. Hang in there!!!

sorry to hear you are in the hospital. I hope you get home soon. I supplement with salt supplement tablets I'd be in your shoes if I didn't. I've been doing so for about a year now, but then again my adrenals are trashed. Maybe it's time to retest them again. The low sodium goes hand in hand with adrenal disease.
Get plenty of rest. If you can rest in the hospital..

Inurse came in and just told me it went down again.. Anxiety about going home, anxiety about staying here. Everytime it comes up, it goes back and 127 is what I came here with on tue. Don't think antibiotic did it, I think stop and start has an effect on my salt. I'm unto 6000 mg/day.

Please talk to your dr. about hyponatremia. Low sodium can cause a lot of problems.
I have also taken salt tablets in the past. If your dr. oks it, you can get Thermatabs from any pharmacy. If they don't have it on the shelf, they can order it. It's over the counter.
Hope you feel better. So sorry you've going through this.

Why do you have salt wasting? I have Addison's Disease (adrenal failure) and salt wasting before diagnosis and before treatment caused the worst mental symptoms I have ever gotten, my sodium was 122 at its worst, but rarely went above 127.
Has anyone done tests on your endocrine system?

Told me to f/u with nephrologist and psych. Stopped antibiotics from tue. Salt Hovering over 127-129 with 6,000 mg salt hosp said it's meds that have to be adjusted. Need immediate relief. Hosp said they checked for hormones...don't know about kidney diseases. My llmd said shell work with my llmd. God help. Thanks.

I really hope you're feeling better.
For the past two years, my sodium level stayed around 124. My then LLMD suggested I just increase the salt in my diet. But that didn't seem to work for me.
I saw a new specialist, and something he changed caused my sodium level to rise into the normal range. Still not sure why that happened.
I just hope you're able to find some hope and healing.
