Probably a dumb question- Has anyone experienced edema along shin bones and fluid around spine when herxing?
Is fluid build up when either herxing or flaring (still can't figure which is which) common? Is it a good or bad sign?
Thanks for your time!

I don't get edema along the shins but I have had it in my lower legs and ankles. For me it was not a herx.
I found out that I had an additional infection.

What appears to be edema but does not leave a dent when pressed is associated with bartonella. If you are treating for lyme only, it could be the bartonella is on a rampage. You should check other symptoms and treat as soon as possible if you feel you might have it. Don't rely on test results.
Some symptoms include migraine like headache, pain in shins or feet, urinary tract problems like having the urge to go a lot, insomnia, anxiety, irritation, hot flashes and muscle cramps. . . . indications on your skin are stretch marks (usually purple or red), streaks, pea size brown spots, loss of pigmentation, tiny blood blisters, swelling, spider veins, broken blood vessels, thickened skin and other unusual markings.
