I am havaing a major herx from a borrelia die off. What do you suggest using to detoxify the central nervous system from the neurotoxins.
I have some of Dr. J's antitoxin II CNS/PNS liquid, but am almost out. I have some homeopathic sulphur from Borion and it works well, but you can't use too much of it. I have encapsulated some parsely and it also works.
I need something quick and can't wait for the mail.
Thanks. Lee

Activated Charcoal.
Took 6 capsules earlier today. Bottle recommends 2. I take up to 10 on a herx. It's simple and it works. 2 is a tiny dose. Not too helpful for me.
It can constipate you at these higher doses so have a meal with fiber before taking and take magnesium a couple hours before and/or after your dose.
It is used in hospitals for poisoning, but it can be found at health food stores.
It interacts with many drugs (decreases bioavailability). Check drugs.com for interactions.
The prescription Cholestyramine may be better (a cholesterol drug).

Provide the liver with the stuff it needs to detoxify the poisons circulating in the bloodstream.

My naturopath has me taking Nutramedix Pinella (brain/nerve cleanse) and Parsley (detox), together, 8 drops of each in about 2 ounces of water. After adding the drops let it sit for a minute. I do this four times a day - 30 minutes before breakfast, lunch, dinner and bedtime. In addition l-glutithione under the tongue after drinking the tinctures noted above. Also during herxing you can use the l-glutithione under the tongue every 10 minutes until you begin feeling better. I used the Twin Labs brand.

Do you take all 6 at the same time? How do you space it out from meds?

Benadryl may help. It is a H1 (histamine) blocker and there looks to be a connection (which I have linked elsewhere) to histamine (goes up during a herx) in response to syphilis treatment.
Bb is NOT toxic to our brain cells, but OUR REACTION is what causes the problem.
OmegaBrite will help too. Very high EPA to reduce the inflammation.
The H1 blockers = sleepy unless you take it with sublingual B6 to counter the "sleepiness", but still benefit from H1 being blocked.
The H1 blockers (Unisom sleepTABS too) are the only ones that cross the BBB.

The herb Sarsaparilla, also called Smilax, is supposed to be good at removing neurotoxins involved in Lyme according to Stephen Buhner. Also, I believe he stated that Knotweed is good also.
