I cannot get my darned blood pressure regulated correctly! It goes so low that I cannot stand up and then gets too high and I need meds. My heart threatens to jump right out of my shirt and I am too breathless to talk....an asset not entirely lost on my thankful husband!
Any ideas? Anyone else have experience with this phenomenon? I am even beginning to wonder if I need to get back on to oxygen! We may go back to see my cardiologist....trouble is that he is unacquainted with lyme disease.
What to do....what to do....guess I'll call my LLMD. I am also keeping a record of pressures for a few days.

You need to be evaluated for POTS and NMH.
Ask your doctor for a tilt table test. There is help!

Thanks, Lymetoo. I hadn't thought of that. But I am too old and weary to do a tilt table test, me thinks. I have passed out enough that we already know it is an issue.
I guess I need to ask my LLMD to call my cardiologist to set up the right tests for me and for late stage lyme.
Meanwhile my husband suggests we may get oxygen again for parts of the day when I am weakest. It just helps and is not a cure, we know. I hate to depend on it, but if it helps....
BTW, were you evaluated? What resulted, if you don't mind my asking.

My LLMD treated me for it prior to a tilt table test. I think I only had that for one of the types of disability pay I am now receiving.
If you can avoid the test, do so. It knocked me out of commission for a good three weeks.

I would agree with lymednva, if you are not feeling well enough a tilt table test can be really hard on a person. The usual treatment is beta blocker and you can get that without the test. Your symptoms do sound alot like POTS. Not sure if you have Babesia and parasites but you could show major improvement in treating those. It really helped a family member.

Thanks. My instincts about the tilt table test were correct, I see. I have been tested for parasites and am told I do not have them. He did say that I most likely do have Babesia.
I did try some sea salt this evening and that seemed to help a lot. I shall have to remember to have it in the AM when pressure is lowest.
I am taking Buspar. Isn't that a beta blocker? Along with Bystolic that might be too much. I need to call doc. Will post anything I learn.

I too used to have blood pressure that jumped very high causing chest pain.. then dropped very low ( I had tilt test and nearly passed out) . I'm still having some issues with high blood pressure . I am certain it is due to lyme.
