Can anyone recommend any good detox foot baths to be done at home that are not real expensive but work? I heard from some that they are useless, and some say they are beneficial....need some advice. Thanks!

I have used them and wish so bad that they weren't so expensive. I would love to buy one for home use.

I think you can get one for about $1200. Considering it costs anywhere from $30-$50 per treatment at an office, that's not a bad price. I don't think you can get one that actually does the job for under that price

I have a family member that bought one. She also has to replace something on it(I can't remember what it was) every so often that's about $45.

I posted where I got mine on the Detox thread.

I bought it for 299.00 and it is a powerful one and was recommended by a MD.

Take a look at the thread and it gives more details...

IT is very useful and I love my footbath!!

Hi, I did an ionic foot bath once with a naturopath and gave it some thought as to whether i wanted to continue.

Then I decided to give myself clay footbaths at home! I bought two plastic dishpans. In one i put cold clear water (only because i've very heat sensitive) and in the other pan i put warm water with something called "sacred clay" along with something called "black beauty" which is a natural mineral combination (including magnesium) sold by the same people, specifically for doing these baths.

I'm not able to take regular baths, so the foot baths are great. Very relaxing and they help to detoxify the body.

One doesn't need to have the cold pan there necessarily. I just find it helpful for those moments when i need to cool down, and i think the alternation of hot and cold helps to increase circulation and open the energy in the feet.

Far less money than purchasing a machine and it feels very earthy ;-))

You could do the same thing with bentonite clay.

Riverspirit,

I also heard about clay footbaths? Does it really help pulls toxins out and are there any side effects to using the clay detox?

Hi NJLymie,

I think it does help with pulling toxins out. I don't feel any side effects except feeling very relaxed afterwards, which is a positive one.

Would do it more often if i had the energy.

ease and peace.....
