My LLMD recommended this supplement. Has anyone used this?

Yes. If you mean P 5 P - that is absolutely essential as the best form of vitamin B-6.
Don't know if that "S" really is an "S" though.

Yes....my son takes it for hyponatremia (low blood sodium) triggered seizures.
The active form of B6 is called P5P/PLP. (that is the #5, not the letter "S")
It is sublingual (dissolves under your tongue and doesn't taste bad at all).
If we are missing a *liver enzyme* to convert B6 to its active form (= P5P/PLP)...we're in trouble (my son).
The body WILL try to find a back-up route (aldosterone).
Source Naturals makes it and it is not expensive.
It is called Coenzymated B6.
We don't "hold onto" B vitamins for very long though.
B vitamins have more functions in the body than any other vitamin. For one...it helps control Na levels.
B6 works in concert with Mg (which is anti-inflammatory, anti-histamine, and inhibits HMG CoA reductase - like statin drugs).
Without the "concert"...brain inflammation.
He also takes Mg Citrate (400mg) and a B-50 complex every night.
And OmegaBrite. High level of EPA - omega 3 with a tad of DHA and vitamin E to prevent oxidation of the other 2.
L-Theanine helps him too. (Inner anxiety.)
