What are some of the antibiotics that actually do cross the blood brain barrier, for children who are already experiencing cognitive issues? I asked just a quick question with my Costco pharmacist, in which he was very helpful he suggested that the only antibiotic to do this was choloramphenicol he wasn't sure of the spelling off the top of his head, which he also thought could possibly be only bought in the US, has anyone have any suggestions/thoughts on this topic. Hoping everyone is having a better day today! Hugs

I am rather new to this but I was told Minocycline does this better than Doxycycline

not sure how compatible it is with children

also have read women have more side effects from Minocycline.

have you talked to a LLMD?

I think it all depends on what you are trying to treat also

Paul
