1:64 negative. MD says this is a good thing. Not understanding how it's possible or why it is noe negative. Any help?

LLMD. Primary who follows the guidelines whose name I got here. Only taking Doxy at right dosage for less than 2 weeks. Took at 200mg/day for 2 weeks prior. Overall symptoms improved form before abx. Still have meh days but overall an improvement in sleep, fatigue, brain fogg and word finding issues.

I'm pretty sure 1:64 is a "weak" positive...I'm guessing the your number of antibodies has decreased from your first test, so that is why it is good news. Do you know what the initial ratio was? I took 200 mg for 2 weeks...my test after that was a weak positive at 1:32. I had another RMSF test a few weeks later that came out fully negative. I still had symptoms, so went to the LLMD (Dr. F) and tested positive for Lyme...she is the one who told me that my RMSF was gone.

When did you see her and what additional testing did she do? She sent blood to igenex and did a local quest rmsf titre. Where did u test positive for Lyme? I've also read that rmsf is hard to be a confection so I'm still a little confused. I see her Friday.

i tested positive for RMSF in 2005 and have always wondered wether i got lyme at the same time.....obviously i will never know BUT.....my well known LLMD told me recently that Erlichiosis can trigger a positive RMSF titer........so unless you have the classic RMSF rash and are really ill maybe you have erlichiosis and thats why it is now negative.......and thats what your dealing with.......just a thought.....
