Is anyone here strictly doing a naturopathic protocol and no antibiotics?

I am currently on all herbals at this point. Tried antibiotics for a year and a half and only made so much progress and then regressed. I also do not detox well. Now I am on the Buhner protocol and am making great strides. Here is the link if you want to learn more about it.

- Are you being guided by an ILADS-educated LL ND (naturopathic doctor) or one of equal education and degree in that area, who is LL?
It is very important to have a doctor who is experienced with all tick borne disease (TBD), one who has guided many other TBD patients through the rough patches and to a successful remission.
Their being ILADS-educated is absolutely essential. Absolutely.
It is important to note that many LL NDs require the use of antibiotics at some time, especially if this is a new infection. -

Includes how to find an ILADS-educated LL ND, an Acupuncturist, a doctor of Oriental Medicine (O.M.D.), or a doctor of Ayurvedic Medicine (D.Ay.), certified herbalists - or nutritionists, etc.
Includes many articles and books on complementary / integrative methods - & RIFE links. -

I forgot to put Bionic 880 links into that set of complementary links. See the blog link from sixgoofykids, who had very good results with that her last year:

I was treated for late stage 2 1/2 years without antibiotics.
Certainly helped enormously--it was that practioner who diagnosed it for which I am ever grateful.. but hit the wall 8 months ago and she could not budge things...and i worsened in some key ways.
undiagnosed Bart it turns out which was discovered upon second tick bite 3 weeks ago.
By a naturopath who is using antibiotics. Licensed to do so in our state.
I have been through so much devastation physically and financially that I am doing what seems best right now. Which is all I or we can ever do. Learn and decide over and over.

I did for over 2years with an experienced Naturopath. Unfortunately the natural treatments were not enough, I continued to get sicker. The ND eventually told me that I had to find an LLMD to give me antibiotics. So now I take antibiotics and continue to work with the ND to support my body with supplements.
This is my personal experience, I don't mean to discourage you from trying to treat naturally. It may work for you. Find a trusted, well respected practitioner and stick with their recommendations.
Good luck.

i have not done any antibiotics and god willing i won't have to. did buhners herbs now seeing dr k and am on herbs and vits only. i may have to do antibiotics but if i do i won't IV or do long doses. this is what i feel now and what makes sense for myself. that said, things could change and my view may as well. i think everyone needs to follow what sits well for them....i think you pick the doc who fits your paradigm not the other way around but thats me. i think you have to do your homework no matter what you choose...its too easy to get someone who might be well meaning but maybe not qualified to deal with such a complex health problem. best wishes to you
