The complete co-infection panel?

I'm in NY

I need to have the test. I can't keep wondering if I am treating properly anymore.

I'm so tired of all this :/

Q: What co-infection test should I order from Igenex?

None. We cannot possibly have enough to go on to guide that decision. You need an experienced diagnostician.

I would talk with your LLMD about it. Let the LLMD guide this decision based upon their experience. Not all these infections are that easy to find in a test, anyway. Experience matters greatly when trying to figure out what to further consider.

And, there are also other chronic stealth infections to consider.
In addition to the usual coinfections from ticks (such as babesia, bartonella, ehrlichia, RMSF, etc.), there are some other chronic stealth infections that an excellent LLMD should know about:

I would encourage EVERY person who has received a lyme diagnosis to get the following tests.

Keebler,

My doc doesn't think I have co-infections based on my symptoms but I read on this site that some people had no symptoms, so they were not treated, but ended up having positive co-infection tests.

So this is why I worry

No need for the Co infection tests at all.Save the money for something elese.Co infection test is les than 50% sensitive. If you have LLMD he will treat you for coinfections to all of them they do.My LLMD told me so dont do the test I wish I listened to him because nobody can relay on Co infection labs rarely come positive.Patient that are + for lyme they should be treated anyway for coinfection.

Maradona: I attempted that and took Bartonella drugs and was hospitalized for 4 days because of it. That is why I am wary of this approach now.

When Dr. J. ordered the tests for my daughter Igenex did the Lyme (Western Blot) & Babesia (Fish RNA and B Duncani). Bartonella was from Specialty Labs.

While our daughter tested negative for Babesia she has the symptoms and is being treated according (Mepron and Zithromax).

I had my co test done through melisa in germany. www.melisa.org

I tested negative for babs but positive for bartonella and ehrlichiosis.

For me it was well worth the cost.if no more than to back up my western blot results.
