You are seeing a good LL ND who has completed the ILADS physician's training program. I would trust her on this. It's clear much thought has gone into the rotation and, for the long run, this may work well for you.

The first week of Fluconazole ONLY is for two reasons. One, it does help against lyme and it's probably to address candida.

* Avoid getting too hot. I would NOT, NOT, NOT take hot baths. Cozy warm, at best - and no longer than for 20 minutes. Heat can be very hard on lyme patients. VERY hard. Warm is good. Warm is enough to increase circulation.

* LIVER SUPPORT ? Did you forget to list your liver and adrenal support? Surely she has you on liver support. If not, ask. Magnesium helps the liver in some ways but something like Milk Thistle or a Bupleurum formula is also good to consider.

* OLE ? You might also ask her about OLE (Olive Leaf Extract) to (or berberine containing herbs) help keep candida away. You would take that away from probiotics. Probiotics are not always enough.

For ongoing use, I like OLE far better than Fluconazole and it is far less harsh on the liver.
