is gluten free or atkins diet better for lyme? Anyone had results from the Lyme diet book by Mcfadzean?

Well..if you do the atkins diet, you are pretty much doing a gluten free diet. If you are doing a gluten free diet, you can still eat some fruit.

I would go with the gluten free, because you have more variety and your body needs lots of veggies.

just wondering if okay to eat the gluten free breads etc as it says no carbs?

BOTH!! Do limit the amount of gluten free breads. Eat them sparingly. And if yeast does rear its ugly head, then STOP the carbs.

I ate a modified Atkins diet.. mainly just ate proteins and plenty of green, non-starchy vegetables.

But it is good to leave out any gluten in sauces, salad dressings, all the places it is "hidden" in our foods.
