After reading the best 10 lyme treatments I am so confused, I am on ceftin, but it says that cell wall inhibitors are useless, worst choice. Doxy is better. Does anyone know if holistic approach is as effective as antibiotics?

I think there is alot of merit in this approach:

Doctor W. cites a recent study in the USA in which 28 people suffering from severe LD were treated for 6 months.

14 of the patients received the standard doses of antibiotics. The other 14 took doses of Cat's Claw, an herb from the Brazilian rainforest with a legendary reputation.

The result? Three of the fourteen who took antibiotics showed slight improvement. But ALL of the 14 who took Cat's Claw showed "dramatic improvement." Indeed, 12 of the 14 were tested at the end of six months, and NO trace of LD remained!

The Cat's Claw product used in the test is called Samento, and is sold by NutraMedix.

This is a valid study and not an advertisement of any kind. He also mentions two other brands of Cat's claw which are very good including one by Raintree..

It's not as much about what you take, as it is WHEN you take it. There is no "good" or "bad" antibiotic, it's all based on what infection you have, how long you've had it, and what form it has taken at any given time.

Ceftin is what Dr. Burrascano used to cure himself. But he also went off and on it several times, so the bacteria wouldn't convert to other forms that the Ceftin couldn't attack.

It all depends on where you're at.

"14 of the patients received the standard doses of antibiotics"

Wonder what the standard doses of abx were???

Monotherapy?

Do you have a link to that study?

And there is no way to prove no trace of LD remained.

Ceftin + a macrolide + a cyst buster is a good combo for Lyme.

I have to agree that Ceftin is a good antibiotic when combined with an intracellular abx as well as a cyst buster. My daughter has been on this with success. She caught hers early.

For someone like myself who has been infected for a very long time, I will look at the alternatives before proceeding with abx.

I am providing a link to the blog that discusses Dr. W. newsletter.
