Ive been through 2 perscriptions of Biaxim. 2 pills twice a day.

Only change in my health I noticed is no more muscle twitches.

Still have massive fatigue, bad sleep, sore muscles, blurry vision.

Can this be seen as progress?

Got Lymes about 2 years ago and was given the standard doxy for 2 weeks. DIDNT WORK AT ALL

Biaxin, a macrolide, is often combined with a cell wall abx, such as ceftin or Bicillin and a cyst buster, flagyl or tindamax.

Have you read DrB's guicelines?

biaxin needs to be combined with something, like janet said. i'm taking it with plaquenil right now.

Plaquenil makes Biaxin work better. Also, it's even better combined with a cell wall abx as janet said. So, with BOTH a cell wall AND Plaquenil are how I took Biaxin.

Keep treating! and make sure you don't have a coinfection. That is the big brick wall to getting well.

If Biaxin no longer works for you at some point, ask your LLMD to switch you to something else. It worked very well for me.

Just on the Biaxim, B12 complex and probiotics...He said he might put me on doxy in a month. Didn't test for co-infections

JF,

Two months is not that long. I've also been on Biaxin and Plaquenil since March. Also had several episodes of muscle twitching over a several day period, which never was a primary sympton before ABX treatment.

I've had some improvements in short term memory and a little more drive to do things, then some setbacks, no real 30 day cycle noticed yet... except around the time of a full moon. Seams a get a few good days then setback for a few weeks before noticing improvements.
