Trying to stay positive but I do not know who to trust. Do I go with the antibiotics and a lyme dr.

Or do I trust God and Alopathic ??? I am so scared and thought I was doing the right thing by going

to a LLMD. I thought taking the Doxy was right and that I was to follow Dr Burrescanos guidelines.

Now I am just scared, so scared of this disease.

You have an IGM positive blood testing. That alone, combined with the brief list of symptoms in your signature indicate you have Lyme Disease and require stronger therapy. 200mg of Doxycycline per day is inadequate.

I would suggest seeing another physician who specializes in Lyme Disease and associated infections. I would purchase the book Cure Unknown, and I would suggest you e-mail me in order to find a physician in your area who can help you.

Tell me which states you'd like and I'll assist you.

I trust God has brought you here to find the right answers.... the right connections to a good Lyme Literate dr. to help you heal.

With those test results, yes you will need antiboitcs to help get rid of this.

Don't be scared... you are doing something good for your body by asking these questions and getting into this forum.

We're all here for the same reason.. to learn and to lean on each other.

You're on the right track.

Hello ffluterby,
Lyme disease can definatley be overwhelming at times. Knowing that hope brings results just not in our timing but Gods. Since there are so many complexities its hard to find the right answer. I wish I hadnt put off seeking treatment with a llmd, knowing the financhial burder treatments would cost. It needs someone that knows about the disease. Most llmd's require a consulting MD to be your primary. I am working with a llmd & holisic md. I have been on this journey for just over a year now. Was exposed & tick bitten 2+ years ago, when symptoms came out after getting the swine flu it took 4 months to finally get diagnosed. I have been treating for 8 months now. There is a rainbow after a storm. I also started out like you with an unrealistic protocol for proper treatment. Seek a specialist & trust God. Prayers 4 u :-)

I do have a great Lyme Dr. She has come highly recommended by a friend who had late stage and this woman is

85% symptom free. I have to go with that. I have to believe that God will help me make the best

decisions for my treatment. I am strong and not bedridden, and refuse to give in to this disease.

I have had no symptoms before this summer and strongly believe that I am in the early stages.

I sent you reports on physicians in the states surrounding your area, including your own. The Dr. you see is included in the listing and you'll be able to read patient reports. If you would like to give a patient report of your own experience working with this doctor then please do and send it to me via the e-mail I sent you.

Hi ffluterby. You sound very discouraged & confused right now; and rightfully so! Your situation sounds a bit like mine, only neither of my tests were positive. I'm in my 9th week of treatment.

I like what you say 'I refuse to give in to this disease'. That has been my attitude also. As we are both in the early stages & not bedridden, we have much to be thankful for.

Though it doesn't mean we're out of the woods yet, keeping a strong faith & trust in God will lead you to the right doctors, at the right place. You'll make it

You have probably heard the story about the person in a flood praying to God for help. A would be rescuer comes three times, somone in a boat, someone throwing a rope and even a helicopter. But the drowning person refuses the help telling each of them that he is praying and God will save him.

Finally he dies and when he gets to heaven he says to God, "why didn't you save me?" God replies, I sent you a person to throw you a rope, a person in a boat and even a helicopter!".

So God has sent you to this forum with people that will guide you to very good LLMD's with patient responses and recommendations. Don't drown!

flutterby I was as you felt strong. But I still knew I was very sick...

You will get thru this, it is not easy, and it can take a awfully long time

so set your mind to fight and you can get well instead of being one of the poor fellows the IDSA has lied to sitting in a wheelchair waiting to die...Live.

flutterby,
I was so scared that I had nowhere to turn. The people on this site helped me understand that I was not alone and what to expect.

They give not only good medical help but great moral support.

Let everyone help and embrace it. I am 10 years now with Lyme.

Lo
