If I wanted to just get blood work and nothing else, as cost-efficient as possible but still using good labs, where do I go to get blood taken?
(I already have an LLMD and have been tested once, if you've read my other posts you'll know I'm a bit obsessed right now with finding some clarity or assurance about my current approach.
I have someone giving some advice that wanted my to be tested again, and I don't know where I can do that- Can I get the blood test independent from expensive doctor's fees and have it sent direct to the labs?
If not, I'll probably set up an appointment with another good LLMD in the New York area to get a second opinion and more blood work so I can feel confident in diagnosis/ treatment.
Or maybe I'll just go back on track with my previous treatment. I don't know right now.)
Appreciate all your help! Hope everyone is doing well.

Anyone? Can you just get your blood tested and have it sent somewhere or do I need to schedule an appointment a month from now?
I feel terrible, so it seems a good time to get tested...

Igenex will send a kit directly to you, but you need a dr. to sign the order form and receive the results. They won't send the results directly to you. My PCP did this for me.
If you just do the Western Blot, IGG and IGM, it's around $300. Then, co-infections are around $150 each.
However, I just did a Western Blot through Quest because that's free for me with insurance. I had 3 positive bands on IGG (2 more bands than Igenex before I started treatment). Just like you, those test results gave me the motivation to continue aggressive Lyme treatment.
I planned on doing the Bartonella test at Galaxy Labs...when my PCP called them for a kit, she found out the test was $975!! Needless to say, I didn't go ahead with that test.

Yes, you can go to a lab and get the blood drawn but you have to have a dr sign off on it (as Kim said.) Can you get your GP to do that??
What was your "previous treatment?"
(KimDC.. the Igenex testing (WB) is only around $200, not $300.)
