Two hours before or after any antibiotic. It's good to take probiotics on an empty stomach, if possible.

Yes, the rule is at least 2 hours away from antibiotics.
lotus, be aware that antibiotics kill probiotics.
So, to get the most out of your probiotics, I would take them at noon and at midnight. Then, they won't be killed for a number of hours and can do their work for you, restoring your gut.
If you take them at 8 a.m., they will be killed at 10 a.m. when you take the antibiotics.
At least, that is my understanding of it.

What if you eat Greek yogurt for breakfast every day?

Lymeboy, no calcuim, magnesuim products; to include food should be taken with abx..so unfortunately, that will have to wait too.

You can have the yogurt at lunch (if you take doxy for breakfast and dinner, and have no other reasons to avoid the yogurt). Maybe eat your lunch for breakfast and your breakfast for lunch?
I usually can't stay up an extra 2 hours at night to take my probiotics, so I take them alone on an empty stomach in the middle of the afternoon, and don't take any antimicrobial herbs within 2 hours of that. That way they are at least 4 hours from both doses of antibiotics. Ideally it is better to take them at night, or both times, if possible.
I am working full time, so lack of sleep is already a serious problem for me, and sometimes I have insomnia, to boot. I can't add to that by staying up extra late just to take pills, or setting alarms and getting up in the middle of the night. However, as far as I know, you can take probiotics and lie down again immediately, unlike doxy. If I wake up anyway during the night, sometimes I take some extra probiotics.

I have been doing this all wrong......

I usually eat the yogurt in the morning, because I tend to wake up nauseous. I take IM antibiotics, but also zith and Plaquenil.....I also take a mound of supps in the am...
So I can't have yogurt for breakfast? I dont even want to eat that most days. Is the yogurt negating the effects of the abx? or vice versa? or both?
