Symptoms started back in June after my wife noticed a rash on my back she said it looked like a bite. My gland in my neck became very painfull and swollen followed by what I believe was a slowed heartbeat could not catch my breathe. In July Iwas rushed to the hospital for similar symptom not being able to breathe but almost fainted.Drs said it was just a panic attack. But I've been on meds for years for that.
Then started to feel off balance. And would get very winded after just a little physical work.
Started feeling very anxious and having a strange sensation on my nose almost like a burning feeling. Then came the headache and pains. I mean shooting pains in my calves and thighs. Pain in my hands, fingers, toes, neck. It felt like such an effort just to walk. Felt like my legs weighed 100 lbs. also had major deppression. I would just start crying for no reason.
Thats when I went to the ER they started treating me for lyme without waiting for a test result. 100mg doxy 2x a day. then the test came back negative. But my pcp told me to keep taking the meds for a month meanwhile she did another test still negative. so anyway Ive been off the doxy for about 2 weeks feelin about 75% but I have been getting hives for weeks and still getting ocasional pain.
also still feel confused at times, and anxious. I went and saw ID she was absolutely no help.
What should be my next step?

You need to see a LLMD ASAP.
THe amount of doxy she was giving you was not nearly enough. It should have been 300-600mg per day, not 100. You also need to take it for a much longer period of time when it is not caught within the first few weeks of infection.
You probably have more than one infection. It is very common to test negative because lyme suppresses the immune system. It fools it so your body does not recognize it as a pathogen. Since your body is not making antigens against it, you test negative. You need to see a good LLMD that knows how to diagnose and treat you based upon your symptoms.
You could be infected with lyme, bartonella and babesia - It takes different antibiotics to treat bartonella and babesia so you need to see someone that knows what they are doing.
As you have only been sick a few months you have a much better chance of getting well if you get help from an LLMD now. Most people on this board were misdiagnosed for years prior to proper identification and treatment. Then getting well is much more difficult.

how do I find a good LLMD? And what do I do in the meantime?

Go to the seeking a doctor section of this website. You could take herbal products in the meantime. My family is taking a lot of the Nutramedix herbs, which you can purchase from their website. See my recent post on the thread about the Cowden protocol.
If you do take the herbs, it is best to try to find an alternative practitioner or herbalist who will help you. The most important thing to know about these herbs is that you need to ramp up very slowly - starting with 1 drop/day, then 1 drop twice/day, etc... until you get to 10. It could take a month to get to the full 10 drops.
