Does anyone know a good alternative to Nexium? The side effects of that are bad and we are looking for a solution. Any suggestions?

Vinegar is never good for acid reflux-as it is highly acidic.

Im taking Nexium now-before that I took Aciphex for over a year with no problems.

Actually I think vinegar is good for stomach acid.

When someone has acid reflux, what happens is their stomach does not produce enough acid.

Then when the person eats, the stomach over-reacts to the food creating a flood of acid that splashes up into the esophagus.

By drinking a little vinegar throughout the day or before eating, it normalizes the amount of acid in our stomachs and keeps it from over-reacting when food is in it.

That being said, whether or not drinking some apple cider vinegar will help you probably is determined by how severe a case of acid reflux you have.

In my daughter's case, it did not help whatsoever. I'm hoping Bart treatment will resolve her acid.
