Its day 14 of cipro and I thought I was having a bad herx but this is different. I can barely walk, can't do stairs, calf muscles are EXTREMELY sore, can't even bend my legs.

I knew there was a danger of tendon problems but can it also affect muscles? I'm not going to take it anymore. I'm really scared.

Is this damage permanent?

Those are your tendons.

The damage should resolve in weeks to... years.

I pray that the toxicity/damage doesn't make its way to your CNS and cause severe panic/anxiety. Now that's scary. It's indescribable.

After my experience with Cipro, I wouldn't give it to my worst enemy. I thought Lyme Disease was bad by itself.

Take magnesium. Magnesium oil (magnesium chloride) may produce a quick recovery if you use about 100 squirts a day for a week or two.

And then after the magnesium oil, I would do high doses of magnesium. I like magnesium malate and taurinate the best. Citrate is ok. Not a big fan of glycinate.

My husband took about three months of Cipro at the beginning of last year. He has had muscle problems ever since then.

It took me a while to figure out what the problem was, but now I am convinced it was the Cipro all along.

I have him taking big doses of magnesium and he says it is taking the pain away.
